How does a piece of plastic and a coaxial cable just decide to stop working. I called the manufacturer, "Directed Electronics",and was told that they no longer manufacture this antennae for Sirius since January and had no more in stock. Don't Buy It. After working fine for 2 months my sirius radio suddenly started displaying "no antennae detected" meaning the antennae wasn't working any more. Sirius customer service told me the problem is with the antennae itself which I believe. Because it wasn't made well to begin with.

Works great and I did not install outdoors installed in my attic near eves of roof works with out interuption or interference. Bought this to hook to Sirius tuner that hooks to my Receiver. I just followed guide for directional placement for my part of country (NY) and all is well.
Sweet reception.This would also work great with the Sirius home dock but I don't have that.This definitely enhances the value I get from my Sirius subscription. I recommend it highly. I routed the outside antenna cable to my basement (needed to drill one hole in my house to route the cable so you might need help if that worries you) No big deal really.just make sure you don''t drill through any other wires and make sure you seal the opening with silicone caulk when you're done.I routed the antenna cable to the Echo transmitter in my basement and I get a great signal everywhere in my house.I have the Sirius boom box so I mounted the echo antenna with some velcro to the top of the boom box so I can listen wherever I take my boom box. The Echo wireless system is available at Sirius.com for $129 but lots of other places for $99. I installed it myself right on the support mast of my DirecTV dish. I highly recommend this antenna to increase your use of Sirius in the house. I coupled this antenna with the Echo Home Wireless system. Even the driveway while washing the car or the back deck.
Sirius reception was spotty - signal kept dropping and I kept nudging the the indoor antenna to get reception again - like someone kept moving the satellite. Installed this outdoor antenna haven't had a reception problem since.
